Open Admissions
Reading Area Community College has an open admission policy, which means that any student may be eligible for enrollment after the completion of certain steps. These steps include a placement evaluation, which may include completion of a placement test or an evaluation of student transcripts, AP/CLEP/DANTES exam scores, or standardized test scores. Based on placement evaluation, some students without a high school diploma or GED may be required to complete coursework in Community Education prior to enrolling in credit courses.
Please note that after Summer 2012, new students without a high school diploma or GED will not be eligible for financial aid. We strongly encourage all students to complete their high school diploma or GED prior to enrolling at 中国澳门博彩官网. A high school diploma will be considered valid if it was granted by a high school that has been verified by ACT and has a high school code listed online at www.actstudent.org.
College entrance examinations, such as the ACT or SAT, are not required, but they may be used to waive portions of the placement test. High school transcripts, GED certificates, CLEP transcripts and prior college transcripts must be submitted to complete the application file and may be used as a basis for admission to some selective admission programs of study.
Selective Programs
The college has a number of selective admission programs, which means that students must meet certain admissions criteria in order to enroll. Click on the links below to learn more about the admission requirements and selection process for each program.
